WM1KE's FCC Database Search: Future Plans

Here are some thoughts of features I would like to add. Please let me know what you think and e-mail me your thoughts, comments and suggestions.

I will soon be adding the ability for those who know SQL to perform SQL queries directly from a web page and/or a telnet session.

I would like to add a “web service” so that other people's web pages can query the database.

I would like to improve the mapping. I would like the maps to be zoom-able and scroll-able. This does not seem to be a problem, just time consuming to study the docs.

I want to add the ability to integrate SPLAT! to plot path loss diagrams between the user and the returned set of callsigns.....

I will be adding simple information (name, call, address, class, expiration) to the map outputs.

Other choices:

Quick Callsign Lookup

All Hams within a radius of a ZIP™ code

All Hams within a certain County (Province, Territory...)

Some related information:

Known problems with the FCC database (your tax dollars at work)

Coming improvements

How this works (DON'T re-invent the wheel...)
